More about us

Helping guide you through some of bigger moments in life.

Areas of Practice

Key

Property Law

Whether you are purchasing or selling your family home, managing and protecting your woodlots for future generations, or managing your rental properties, you deserve legal advice that gives you peace of mind.

South Shore Law is here to help with purchases and sales of property, updating and drafting of deeds, drafting of leases, migrating your property, assisting with easements and licences, resolving property disputes, and all of your property related legal needs.

Key

Wills and Estates

A good plan can make anything easier, even injury, illness or death. Many of us put off dealing with the tough choices required for these events. Don’t wait until it is too late to ensure your wishes are carried out if the unexpected or inevitable happens.  South Shore Law is here to give you the peace of mind you deserve.

Passing without a will can cause difficulties for your loved ones and may force your assets to be distributed against your wishes. Without a will, someone will need to apply to act as an administrator in order to deal with your estate, and they will be forced to distribute your assets according to the Intestate Succession Act.

A well drafted will can instruct how your property and belongings are to be distributed according to your wishes, guide guardianship of your children, and name the person(s) who will be responsible for carrying out your final wishes.

Contact us today to ensure your wishes are taken care of.

Key

Family law matters are some of the most personal legal matters most people may face. Whether you are starting, altering or ending a relationship, South Shore Law is ready to work with you to navigate your personal and legal circumstances in order to develop plans and solutions that work for your life.

We are here to help by providing practical straightforward legal advice on marriage and cohabitation agreements, separation agreements and divorce proceedings to our clients as they navigate these deeply personal and emotional matters.

Key

After growing up and attending University in Halifax, Edgar was drawn to the South Shore and made the move to West Northfield in November 2020. Aside from enjoying the country life, Edgar likes to spend his time gardening, tending to the chickens, and spending time with his young family.
